Health, Safety and Welfare
Our mission to provide high quality care and support services is reinforced by the understanding that in law, we have a ‘duty of care’. This means that we have a legal requirement to the Health, Safety and Welfare of our service users and our staff.
We believe that Health and Safety should not get in the way of fulfilling our role, but support our care workers to undertake it efficiently, safely and with care. Our staff are trained in the assessment of risk and have comprehensive training in health, safety and manual handling.
We employ the most rigorous of vetting procedures and all staff are required to have a current criminal records bureau check before they are allowed to work in the community unsupervised.
We operate a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Call Monitoring System to support you and to ensure that you will never be without a visit. If there is a problem and your care worker is delayed, we will ensure that another member of the team is contacted and asked to visit you as quickly as possible.
